This week's objectives are:
To recognise ½ ¼ 1/10, 1/5 and use them to find fractions of shapes and numbers.
To begin to recognise simple equivalent fractions, for example 5/10 as ½ and 10/10 as 1.
By the end of this unit, you could be able:
To use fraction notation, including mixed numbers, and the vocabulary numerator and denominator
To change an improper fraction to a mixed number
To recognise when two simple fractions are equivalent
To order a set of fractions and position them on a number line.
To relate fractions to division.
